Business insurance · Central Ohio
Business insurance sized to what your business actually does
General liability, property, commercial auto and workers' compensation — bundled where it saves money, separated where it needs to be.
Small businesses usually overpay for the wrong coverage and carry none of the right kind. The fix is unglamorous: describe the operation honestly, price the real exposures, and skip anything that does not apply.
What we look at
Business owners policy
Liability and property in one package for shops, offices, salons and contractors — the usual starting point.
General liability
Third-party injury and property damage: a customer slips, a delivery damages a client's building.
Commercial auto
Vehicles owned or used for work, including hired and non-owned when employees drive their own cars on business.
Workers' compensation
Ohio requires coverage once you have one or more employees, obtained through the state fund or a qualified plan.
Professional liability
Errors, missed deadlines and advice — a different risk than a slip and fall.
Commercial property
Buildings, inventory, tools and equipment, with business income coverage for the weeks you cannot operate.
What actually moves your price
- What the business actually does, and where
- Number of employees, and whether any drive for work
- Contract requirements from clients and landlords
- Property values: buildings, inventory, tools, specialty equipment
- Whether commercial vehicles are titled to the business
What happens when you ask
Four questions, about two minutes. We price the carriers this office can quote, put the numbers side by side, and tell you plainly if your current policy is already the better deal.
No obligation, no pressure to switch, and no impact on your rate for asking.

Do I need workers' comp in Ohio?
Yes, effectively as soon as you have one employee in most situations. It is administered through the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation or a qualified alternative.
Is a BOP enough?
For many small operations, yes. It is not enough for professional advice, commercial vehicles, or a business with unusual exposures — those get added.
Can you cover my personal vehicles if they are used for work?
Usually a personal policy is not enough once the vehicle is used for business. That is what hired and non-owned coverage is for.
Straight talk: discounts, rates and eligibility vary by carrier, product and person, and are subject to underwriting. We will never quote you a savings figure we cannot show you in writing.
